Medical training therapy

Medical training therapy is the optimal way to strengthen your body. It doesn’t prepare only athletes optimally for competitions. Also, muscular imbalances are guided in the right direction. Even after a surgery, this training (on the device or free in the room) offers the best rehabilitation into the sport or the workplace.

Physical therapy on the device

Physical therapy on the device (PTD) is a type of the medical training therapy

It is a prescriptive healer, which needs a special approval by the health insurance companies and a special practice equipment. Our practice has a training area has 70 sq. m. and a huge range of exercise equipment that allows a special training for all muscle groups of the body. The purpose of the PTD is to improve the strength, perseverance, agility, coordination and functionality in general - of course after an individual discussion with our specially trainers!

What is the difference between PTD and PT?

The physiotherapy (PT) works much more passive with the patient. First, the therapist tries to eliminate the problem with various physiotherapeutic methods. After that he introduces the patient into active forms of movement and treatment for permanent healing. In the case of the PTD the patient works actively on devices or with appropriate aids under the guidance of a therapist - to reach independently his destination.

iMoove

The iMoove is an innovative concept, which is focussed on holistic physiological and dynamic movements of the body in three axes. The iMoove is a device which is equipped with a movable footplate.

The result of this footplate is an instability which stimulates the deep muscles and sensory system of the body, mobilizes joints and activates whole muscle chains.

In this way movement restrictions, blockages, shortenings or static problems and the resulting "tilted positions" can easily be filtered out, but at the same time they can be also eliminated. With the help of the three-dimensional movements, the entire spine is mobilized without much effort. As a result, possible problems are treated. At the same time, exiting the depth sensibility and activating the stabilizing musculature are used to achieve posture, strengthening, coordination and flexibility.

Mit Hilfe der dreidimensionalen Bewegungen kann ohne viel Aufwand die gesamte Wirbelsäule mobilisiert werden und damit eventuelle Probleme behandelt werden.

But that’s not all! Individual joint regions are trained especially. For example, the shoulder can be particularly mobilized and strengthened after a rotator cuff tear. The same applies to the hips, knees and feet with osteoarthritis, cruciate ligament rupture or ankle fractures.

With the help of the appropriate program selection, the general fitness level can also be improved, or preventative measures can be taken on the iMoove.

Isokinetics

Isokinetic training is a special form of dynamic strength training. The patient sits on a device with dynamometer, which specifies the speed and extent of movement. The patient gives now corresponding isometric resistances to the same movement. In this way the muscles are specifically trained, and joints are mobilized. At the same time, inter- and intramuscular coordination and endurance of appropriate muscle groups are trained.

Due to the constant angular speed and the maintenance of muscle power by the patient, it is a very effective training - even in unfavourable joint positions. At the same time, the adjusted amount of movement and the visible force curve on a screen to protect the joint against excessive stress. Therefore, the device can be used wonderfully as a therapeutic aid after surgery, for example after a cruciate ligament tear on the knee.
